PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT ALLOW NEW CLIENTS TO BOOK/REQUEST APPOINTMENTS ONLINE (THEREFORE, YOU'RE UNABLE TO SEE MY AVAILABILITY ONLINE). I THINK IT'S BEST FOR US TO HAVE A FREE BRIEF PHONE CONSULTATION AT 404-407-5096, TO SEE IF WE'RE A GOOD FIT FOR EACH OTHER. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), in the states of Georgia (License # CSW004135) and New Jersey (44SC05972000), and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S # S2344). I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Morris Brown College and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia. I am a first-generation American, born in New York City to immigrant parents from Trinidad and Tobago. My husband is from Nigeria and we have two beautiful children. I specialize in working with children ages 3-18, adults, and families. I am eclectic in my approach, using play therapy and many different therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of my clients. I also specialize in working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges, as well as, parenting support and training. I am also passionate about helping people with ethnic, cultural, and racial identity issues and/or trauma, as well as moms adjusting to motherhood. I am very active in my community for racial and social justice. I have had the unique opportunity to practice in a wide variety of settings and cultures. I have worked as a school social worker, with adults with mental health illnesses, children and adolescents involved with the Department of Juvenile Justice, families involved with the Department of Family and Children Services, provided in-home therapy, and has spent some time studying in Ghana, West Africa. I draw from this background, as I carefully tailor my approach to each individual client. I assess each client’s specific goals, strengths, and challenges, and together, develop an appropriate treatment plan. I also volunteer as a camp counselor with the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, for burn-injured children.
