My approach is client-centered and strength-based. I view you as the expert of your own experience and firmly believe in each person’s innate capacity to grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. A safe, trusting, and supportive relationship with a therapist allows for a dedicated space to explore and carefully unpack whatever it is that brought you to therapy. With warmth, curiosity and practicality, I will collaborate with you in our sessions to discover what healing and change look like for you. My areas of focus include, but aren’t limited to, major life transitions, recovering from trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, managing or adjusting to a disability or chronic illness, and identity. I work best with clients who are able to commit to weekly sessions and have the space to participate fully in the process. I have an integrative theoretical orientation, in that I utilize aspects of multiple theories to tailor our work together to meet your unique needs. My approach is primarily informed by humanistic, existential, mindfulness, and biopsychosocial frameworks. I work from a social justice and trauma-informed lens, and am LGBTQIA+ affirmative and neurodivergent affirmative. I have additional training in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for treating trauma and am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), which has given me additional training in the intersection of disability and employment. If this resonates with who you are or what’s led you to therapy, please reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation to see if we’d be a good fit to work together.
