Since graduating with a degree in social work in 1993, I have worked in a variety of capacities within the behavioral health field for more than 20 years, as a psychotherapist and a clinical social worker. Initially working in gerontological social work, which proved to be very satisfying, I found another passion working with the underserved populations affected by HIV/AIDS, in Los Angeles, and at Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, DC. After 15 years in LGBTQ health, and HIV/AIDS, as a clinical director, psychotherapist, and case manager, I began working in private practice in 2008. In 2006, I began learning Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), an approach that I use today with all my clients.
