Life can be hard, and we often feel alone in our pain. I will work with you compassionately, without judgment, as you deal with the pain of your past, the challenges of today, and the fears of tomorrow. Everyone deserves empathy as they share their story from their perspective. I desire to help you work through the pain of your life, making meaning and finding hope. You are the author of your story—you may not be able to change the past, but you can make changes in the present and create a beautiful future. I was formerly a Physical Therapist, and I have extensive experience helping people find the motivation and strength to recover after medical and physical injury. I loved building relationships with my patients and getting to know what they value to encourage movement toward recovery and independence. I bring that experience into the counseling process, taking a holistic perspective of everyone, including mind, body, and spirit. Your environment and experiences are also unique. I also offer a personal understanding of trauma and recovery. Working in mental health care is a passion of mine, and I want to help you as others have helped me. I believe there is always hope for change because I have experienced it myself! You have strengths and reliance that we can use to help you on your journey. I am a wife and mother of four adult children and a foster mother. I am a board member with the Children’s Advocacy Center, Wayne County area, which provides forensic interviews and medical examinations to abused children because I value bringing safety and justice to the vulnerable.
