My name is Dr. Sanchez of The Pacific Resiliency Center, and I am a licensed psychologist and board-certified music therapist. I am a BIPOC (Filipina-American) clinician bilingual in Spanish, with experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, acculturation/cultural stress, trauma, and life transitions. I focus on individual needs and use different treatment modalities dependent upon what would help the client thrive. We work together as a team. My ideal client is someone who identifies that there is a need for things to change in his/her/their life and is looking for a clinician to help them navigate life stressors and build resilience along the way. A client may have problems that are rooted in childhood, learned survival techniques that are now hurting rather than helping, or new stressors that are making it difficult to function. The client is struggling and seeks understanding, while also motivated to change things for the better, as he/she/they seeks to live a happier, fulfilling life, with self-love and compassion. He/she/they knows “there has to be a better way”. I believe in actively listening to you with kindness and compassion. You and I work in a partnership to assess effectiveness in treatment and to adjust as needed. I don’t believe there is a “one-size-fits-all” treatment approach and work with you to help you reach your full potential, taking into account your strengths and areas of need. I’m here for you.
