I grew up in Maine and feel so grateful to be raising my kids in Maine. I have worked in the mental health field for 11 years, I graduated from Colby College as a Human Development Major and received my Master’s of Social Work from the University of New England. Following graduate school I was fortunate to join the team at Art of Awareness Wellness Center, gaining clinical experience in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. In 2016 I opened my private practice in Portland and have loved being able to create a work life balance that enables prioritizing self care. I am trauma-sensitive, EMDR certified and tick born illness literate; I provide treatment for PTSD, anxiety, depression, prenatal and postpartum concerns, parenting challenges, grief, relationship conflict, medical hardships and life transitions. I love working with individuals who are ready to be challenged and grow. Using a strength based mindfulness and holistic approach I will empower you to improve your overall well-being and find a healthier balance in your life. When I’m not in my therapy office, I am likely biking, hiking, skiing, practicing yoga, or otherwise adventuring with my kids. I enjoy sharing my passion for the outdoors with clients and encouraging them to get outside and play. I value friendship deeply and believe human connection is vital for overall health.
