Karla LeBlanc, a Licensed Professional Counselor, has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She went on to obtain her Master's of Science in Continuing Education in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. Karla has worked in several different mental health settings, starting in community mental health working with pre-k through high school students, then working in a mental health clinic for college students. She also has experience counseling geriatric psychiatric patients in a hospital setting. Karla enjoys helping her clients achieve a healthier mental outlook by using cognitive behavioral therapy to challenge negative, repetitive thoughts and behaviors and to replace them with more positive ones. Karla is also able to work with couples on making changes in their relationship that will help them communicate more effectively and enable them to understand each other better.
