I have provided confidential adult mental health counseling for nearly 20 years. I help women who recently received a later in life ADHD diagnosis, heal from traumatic experiences, manage their symptoms, and teach relationship/coping skills. Women with ADHD are commonly misdiagnosed for another disorder(s) or completely missed. Women mask or hide their symptoms well (without knowing it!). I have lived experience with inattentive ADHD and was diagnosed later in life. ADHD Later in Life "3.3 percent of adults between ages 44 and 85 have attention deficit disorder (ADHD or ADD). That's 70 million adults, 80 percent of whom don't know they have attention deficit — until life's demands become unbearably overwhelming."- Linda Roggli, PCC, Attitude Magazine. I am trained in the following therapeutic interventions: eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), ego state therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and the flash technique. I like to use a variety of interventions to meet the unique needs of every client. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from the Ohio University in 2003 and a masters degree in social work from the Ohio State University in 2005. I like to think of myself as someone who is down to earth and relatable. My clients appreciate my ability to find out the why's and how's of how they got to this point in life. I am very engaged and active as a therapist. I have been told my voice is very calming and my use of appropriate humor is helpful in sessions. Let's meet!
