Introduction

You've been struggling for a while and you're unsure how to move forward. You feel alone and like everyone around you knows something that you don't. Maybe you struggle with memories of a traumatic childhood. If you find yourself ready to step outside of the box and explore the root cause of your distress, then I would love to partner with you. Together we will create a safe environment to disentangle your life and relationships while building clarity and self-awareness. I have over 10 years experience working with adults who are navigating their lives following childhood trauma, relationship distress and major life transitions. My practice is devoted to adults 21 years and older. I am a therapist that will provide a safe and supportive space to both explore, and be challenged to initiate subtle change. I value a holistic, collaborative and person-centered approach to therapy. I will approach our sessions with a holistic and person centered mindset in order for you to feel safe giving voice to your current struggles. I believe therapy is most effective when your whole self feels supported and seen. I will incorporate humor and relatability whenever I can. Therapy does not always need to be crying and reliving past trauma, we can also laugh at the messy parts of being a human in the world today. Prior to opening my own practice in 2018, I worked in child welfare and community mental health. I initially went to art school for my undergraduate degree which I completed in 2010 at Boston University. I earned my MSW in 2013 from Hawaii Pacific University. I completed the EMDR basic training in 2019. You've already been through so much, I hope that you are able to feel a sense of pride in taking on this challenge. Please reach out via email when you are ready and we will take the next step together. All sessions are exclusively telehealth at this time and all client MUST live in Massachusetts. Testimonial from an Existing Client since 2020: Working with Kat changed the course of my life. Kat is funny, wise, insightful, caring, and deeply open to feedback. I have nothing but deep gratitude for the work that Kat has guided me through and the ways she's pushed me to truly be honest with myself. Because of our work together, I am more in touch with my needs, more self-aware, and kinder to myself.
