Introduction

Hi, I’m Dr. Kate Degenhardt, founder of PNW Anxiety Center. I’ve always been passionate about helping people navigate the challenges that life throws at them. My journey began during my doctoral training, where I specialized in evidence-based therapies for anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder. After completing an APA-accredited internship at the University of Washington and a postdoctoral residency focused on anxiety treatment, I knew I wanted to build a practice where I could offer the most effective, compassionate care possible. At PNW Anxiety Center, I focus on treating anxiety, OCD, depression, and helping clients through major life transitions. I work with both adults and children (9 and up), offering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help my clients break free from patterns that keep them stuck. Whether you’re a college student dealing with academic stress, an adult managing anxiety, or a parent looking for support for your child, my goal is to provide tools that make a lasting, meaningful impact in your life. If you’re ready to start feeling more in control of your mental health, I’d be honored to work with you on your journey toward a happier, more balanced life.
