Introduction

‘Life’s obstacles are easier to overcome when you have the right support’. At this time, you may be experiencing emotional, professional, romantic, familial or other relational obstacles that you may need additional guidance and support with. When life gets difficult to overcome, you can start to believe that nothing is going well and be rushed with a feeling of hopelessness. This feeling of hopelessness can leave you feeling severely out of control. Understanding deeply the distress that can come with struggling with relationships and feeling out of control, I’m here to be a gentle, yet skillful and measured process for you to approach your current feelings and thoughts. As your therapist, I value and I aim to provide the safety, compassion and support system that you may need. With every client that I work with, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where individuals can work through their challenges at their own pace. I own that responsibility to center you and figure out how to help you navigate developing a support system, resources and coping mechanisms. When working with you, I am well-versed in various theoretical approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. Additionally, I have supported individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, domestic violence, trauma, and more. With these theoretical frameworks, I’ll help guide you in a thoughtful and evidence based manner. This includes developing homework assignments that fit you. And while my education and work experience have both played an integral role in my success as a therapist, there is another key component that enhances my work: a genuine and honest professional relationship with each of my clients. I firmly believe that by incorporating a sense of humility and authenticity in my therapy sessions with you, the atmosphere will be balanced and healthy. This can positively impact our sessions and can change you as a person in ways you may desire and your life for the better. As a professional, I always keep in mind that just as you are learning from me, I am also learning from you. Life can be messy, unpredictable, but also inspiring and fulfilling. As you navigate through your therapeutic journey, you will learn how to face life’s challenges with courage, while enjoying the wonder and beauty life has to offer. Whatever obstacles you may be struggling with, the right support will help you find your way.
