I have been providing outpatient mental health counseling services since 1996 in clinics and private practice settings. I work from a wholistic, strengths based approach with individuals, couples and families. We all can benefit from therapy services to assist us in balancing our busy lives to include time for rest as well as fun and connection with others. I have lived in Bemidji Minnesota since 1981 and enjoy the beauty of our outdoors here. I enjoy fishing, hunting, golf, skiing, gardening and gatherings with friends and family. I am married with two adult step children and a dog. I am an active member of First Lutheran Church and enjoy singing in the choir there. I welcome and enjoy working with all races, ethnicities and gender identities. All are welcome here. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Bemidji State University. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Minnesota, License #3151. I specialize in treating trauma of various kinds, anxiety, depression, serious mental illness, life transition stress and treatment for those who have sexual behavior offenses. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). I hold Clinical Membership in the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) and MNATSA. I am a Social Work Board Certified Supervisor in the state of Minnesota.
