Introduction

Welcome to Terrapin Counseling! My name is Katie McCabe and after 29 years as a clinician in Baltimore County, I have opened my own counseling practice. I have extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults, with mental health issues and/or substance use disorder issues. If I was to say what I specialize in, it would be supporting those individuals who are dually diagnosed, in early recovery from a substance use disorder, and/or those within the LGBTQ community. I feel very strongly that clients should feel positively supported in their journey and become more educated about what brought them into therapy in the first place. I enjoy hearing your story and helping you to achieve whatever goals that you may have. It takes strength to seek support and I applaud you for investing in yourself.
