Hello, and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University at Buffalo in 2009. I have spent the last 15 years working with children and adolescents, families and adults in the Western New York area. I specialize in eating disorders, OCD, anxiety disorders and mood disorders. Presently, I work with folks ages 12 and up. I prefer to take an eclectic and person-centered approach to therapy, as I do not believe “one size fits all.” I am a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned and LGBTQ+/queer allied therapist. I tend to look at presenting issues from multiple angles, and I strongly value social justice and activism in my work. I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives, and I am honored to walk alongside them toward their therapy goals. Current Hours: Tuesday 1-8 Wednesday 12-7 Thursday 8:30-1 Friday 8:30-1 My afternoon and evening appointments are limited right now, but will hopefully open up a bit more as summer approaches. I can be reached at 716-295-3015, or katie.nowak.lcsw@protonmail.com. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/katie-nowak-getzville-ny/1168422
