Life can be challenging at times. However, I believe that people have an amazing ability to heal and transform negative patterns that are no longer serving them, as well as develop more meaningful ways to approach life's hurdles. Therapy provides a space for us to become more alive to our experience in the presence of a caring and compassionate other. When we have a deeper understanding of how our feelings are connected to our thoughts and how those thoughts and feelings give rise to behaviors that don't always serve us we can begin to experiment with making new choices that will improve our lives and relationships. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders (social, generalized, phobias, panic), OCD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, depression, stress management, ADHD, trauma, relationship problems, boundaries, low self-esteem, mindfulness, and life transitions. I utilize a variety of evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Self-Compassion, and Trauma Informed Care. I have completed intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD through the Cognitive Behavior Institute. I combine process-based, talk therapy approaches as well as concrete, skills-building, psychoeducation, and behavioral activities to help my clients feel heard and competent to tackle life. I have a rich history working with teens, college-age, young adults, adults, and parents. I am passionate about meeting my clients where they are, enhancing their wellness, and empowering their lives. Empathy, humor, and authenticity are the foundation of my therapeutic approach. FEES The fee for a 50-minute individual session is $200. You are welcome to pay with cash, check, HSA card, credit or debit card at the time of service. INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT I am not an in-network provider with any insurance panels. However, I am able to provide you with a Superbill (a detailed receipt for you insurance company) after each of our sessions. You can submit this receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider before we meet to find out if they reimburse for services from an out-of-network provider, if they have a deductible to meet prior to being reimbursed, and what percentage your provider reimburses per session. Policies vary from provider to provider, so I encourage you to call and ask these questions so you an be fully informed if you are considering submitting Superbills.
