As an immigrant, I have encountered multiple challenges navigating a completely different social system, from language to culture to beliefs. Nonetheless, finding a therapist who shared my experiences and cultural viewpoint was arduous. Thus, I developed a deep understanding of the struggles surrounding language barriers, cultural differences, and disabilities. This prompted me to become a therapist who could incorporate cultural diversity and collaboration into my practice. Furthermore, being an immigrant helped me value changes and experiences that we gain going through life transitions. Thus, my approach in therapy is to help you view changes as resources and strengths when striving to reach your goals.
