Introduction

Katrin Steinert is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who has been providing therapy since 2017. Trained in Dialectical Behavior Theory (DBT) and Psychodynamic theory, Katrin brings a sense of calm and humor to her practice. Katrin started her therapeutic practice at a local community clinic where she was trained in the areas of grief, immediate intervention techniques, motivational interviewing and harm reduction. She worked with people from various backgrounds and cultures which gave her a deep appreciation of difference that she carries into her practice today. Katrin has been a member of a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) team since 2018. DBT is an exciting evidence-based therapy that is proven to treat a variety of disorders including anxiety, depression and personality disorders. Katrin provides DBT to individuals, couples, adolescents and runs skills based groups for adults and teens. Katrin blends a psychodynamic depth focus with DBT practical, dialectic solutions to create an effective therapy for those who are looking to gain understanding and to get unstuck.
