Greetings, Thank you for considering one of the first steps to Mental Healthiness. WHY THERAPY? It encourages you to work through challenging obstacles that is causing discomfort. Many are often faced with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and other mental illnesses. Therapy encourages you to manage or eliminate troubling concerns that effects your peace and happiness. The goal is to help you become mentally healthy. Below is an overview of the most common that Surety Enrichment Services utilize in counseling sessions. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) CBT is a goal-oriented treatment method that takes a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving. Its objective is to change your thought patterns and behavior to improve your emotional regulation. CBT focuses on your thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and images (cognitive processes) to change your behavior and opinions, and how they relate to your strategies of managing emotional problems. It anchors on the notion that maladaptive behavior and thought distortions advance the development and continuation of mental disorders. The fundamental idea is that learning new coping mechanisms and information processing techniques will reduce your symptoms. NEW! NEW! NEW!
