Introduction

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who specializes in trauma, PTSD, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, adult therapy, LGBTQ+ issues, and crisis intervention. I have been a therapist for over 10 years working with families and adolescents in crisis and with youth experiencing homelessness. I see adults and teens 12 and up. I am passionate about working with folks who identify as LGBTQ+, people facing major life transitions, and individuals who are in crisis or have suicidal ideation. I am a strong believer in the efficacy of EMDR to help people process and resolve trauma. Taking an integrative approach to EMDR and trauma, I also incorporate ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), emotion regulation, mindfulness, and self-compassion into her practice. Individuals not only have the innate power to heal from trauma, but that they can grow from it, too. Each person is the expert when it comes to their own life and experiences. I am here to provide the guidance and support you need to enable you to tap into your inner resilience and overcome any life stressors, traumas, or other challenges that come your way. I received her M.A. in Counseling: Clinical Mental Health from Adams State College in Colorado. I am EMDR certified through the Maiberger Institute. Most recently, I've worked as a pediatric outpatient and crisis therapist for Kaiser Permanente. Outside of my job as a therapist, I am active in the outdoors.
