My name is Kelley, and I’m glad you’re here. Going to therapy is courageous and rewarding. I believe everyone can benefit from therapy, as we all face challenges in this imperfect life. My hope as a therapist is to create a safe, authentic, and accepting space for you to be fully yourself as you share your story. Specialties: Trauma, anxiety disorders (general, obsessive-compulsive, and panic); faith/spirituality, spiritual trauma, depression, third-culture/missionary dynamics, stress, self-esteem, grief and loss, life-transitions, work-life balance. My vision is to journey with clients as we lean into the truth that our brokenness can lead to resilience and become a masterpiece, and is often where we find our greatest strength. I use an integrative approach, drawing from various theories in sessions uniquely tailored to your needs and goals. Valuing a person-centered approach, I prioritize client feedback and autonomy, with you feeling valued and safe at the forefront of our work together. I most often integrate mindfulness, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems in sessions. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am amazed by its effectiveness in recovery from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. Being a witness to healing through EMDR is a great joy of mine. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you process trauma. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Georgia and Alabama. I have a Master’s Degree in Social work, clinical concentration, from Samford University. In addition to counseling, I serve with a non-profit organization working in Kenya with a mission to "provide training, accountability, and resources to help Kenyan nationals realize their God-given visions for equipping and empowering their communities". I am also a yoga instructor in Atlanta, and value the way yoga integrates with mental health. My hope is that together you can move toward healing. I simply invite you to come as you are.
