I enjoy working with children and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship issues. I take a collaborative approach to helping clients learn new coping skills and adaptive ways to problem-solve through their issues so I am no longer needed as a support in their lives. Theoretically, I tend to work from interpersonal, cognitive behavioral, humanistic and solution-focused perspectives. When working with couples I use Gottman techniques and emotion focused techniques. In therapy the therapeutic relationship is key to positive counseling outcomes and I keep that at the forefront of our work together. I have worked in a variety of settings that have helped enhance my training and passion for helping individuals work through anxiety, trauma, depression and relationship issues. I have worked with children, teens and adults in school settings, non-profits, and have been a sexual assault advocate and worked with domestic violence survivors through the YWCA. Helping individuals heal and improve their quality of life is what drives my work as a therapist. I offer a non-judgmental space and treat the whole individual. Our relationships is the most important foundation that will determine positive outcomes. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, I would love to hear from you!
