Introduction

Welcome to my counseling website! I am glad you have found your way here. My name is Kellie Pitts, and I am a licensed professional counselor with thirteen years of experience providing school counseling services to adolescents in a middle school setting. This June, 2024, I will begin providing mental health counseling services in my Telehealth private practice, Healing Steps Counseling, LLC, pursuing independent clinical licensure under the supervision of Sarah Beardslee, LCPC pending approval of the KSBSRB. I understand that life can be challenging at times, and we all need a little help and support to navigate through difficult situations. That's where I come in. My mission is to provide a safe and caring space where you can share your concerns, set personal goals, and work towards finding solutions. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or anger management, I am here to help. I use a CBT and a Solution Focused Brief Therapy approach to counseling. CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on helping individuals identify and change negative thinking patterns and behaviors that may be causing emotional distress or mental health problems. Using CBT, I will help you to develop coping skills and strategies that can be used to address specific problems or situations. For clients who desire, I can provide Christian Counseling, incorporating biblical scripture into the counseling process. Together, we can work towards creating positive change in your life.
