At times, we all need a listening ear and maybe I can be that someone for you. My name is Kelly, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan. I believe that in order for a positive therapeutic alliance to be created, there has to be a good fit for the client. So, let me tell you a little about myself to see if I’m a good fit for you. I’m trained and experienced in providing counseling one-on-one, with couples, families, and in groups with adults, adolescents, and children. I continually seek advanced education to increase my understanding of the human brain, specific techniques for all forms of loss, suicidality, art therapy, play therapy, as well as PTSD, and other trauma-focused treatments. I’m also a Certified Trauma Practitioner (CTP-C). I have experience working with at-risk children from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, as I was previously employed as a foster care case manager and an adoption specialist as well as we an outreach counselor at Highfields Inc. Additional experience includes working with children with severe emotional impairments and who have experienced trauma, have ADHD and PTSD diagnoses, Substance Use Disorder, and familial work. I also have extensive knowledge of the legal system, specifically circuit and probate court as I complete custody and parenting time evaluation regularly.
