Growing up as a neurodivergent queer kid in the south, I have firsthand experience of the delicate work of claiming joy amidst survival. I believe that even our most seemingly destructive thoughts & behaviors are rooted in self love as we naturally seek coping and healing. Shifting our patterns is possible with support & compassion. I may be best for folks frequently on the margins who need a safe space to explore their inner world or who need help holding their grief, trauma, or overwhelm. I am client-centered, believing each person is the expert of their own life. I am also passionate about liberation in all forms, particularly mad liberation, and hold client empowerment as central to the healing process. I offer the knowledge of my field with a peer-supportive lens. I have a background working with grief, self injury, suicidal ideation, and domestic violence. I am open to helping folks navigating altered states of consciousness, BPD, neurodivergence, and/or addiction regardless of your desire for medication or abstinence. I will also work with partners navigating many challenges including infidelity. I will pull from a number of theoretical approaches based on what works best for you. I always work within trauma-informed, decolonizing, mind-body frameworks. We may use mindfulness, story, nature, art, ritual, breath, movement, or psychodrama.
