My focus in therapy is on my clients deeper experiences that lie beneath the symptoms. I believe this creates lasting change and invites my clients to have more meaning in their lives. I am an optimist by nature and aim to provide a warm, non-shaming environment in order to explore past traumas, function better in the present, and work towards a better future. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents struggling with trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and relationship concerns. I am particularly passionate about helping individuals with substance-use disorders. I also have experience working with parents needing guidance in their parenting approach. My education in social work and philosophy assists in tailoring my approach to help my clients get what they want out of therapy. I use a humanistic approach mixed with humor to help my clients feel seen and understood. Although proficient in multiple modalities I primarily use psychodynamic, humanistic, and Internal Family Systems.
