After years of practicing traditional therapy in an office setting, I noticed a recurring theme in my clients' stories: a longing for connection—not only with themselves or others but with something greater and more grounding. I have found that integrating outdoor experiences with counseling creates transformative outcomes. If you prefer to meet indoors in my office or virtually, that option is absolutely available to you. I also have groups to help facilitate connection with others and nature, which can be a nice combination with your individual treatment. You want to feel better: ending the swirling anxiety about your purpose, career, family, and, oh, did I turn off the coffee pot?! It can feel endless, exhausting and frustrating. You have a hard time knowing where to start to help yourself, care for yourself, let alone try to make some changes. My passions reside in empowering my clients and helping them to find their purpose. If you're wondering what your purpose is and how you might feel empowered, our together will allow you to uncover it. I particularly work well with women who are admist transition, having relationship difficulties, struggling to articulate who they are, working to find their own fire and voice, or wanting to quiet the anxious mind that constantly spins. Life is bittersweet, and I would be honored to help you wrestle with all of it. Schedule a consult so we can talk further. A few notes on me: I am originially from Michigan, moved to St. Louis for graduate school at Washington University in 2003 and have been here ever since. I enjoy hiking, running, good food and spending time with family and friends. Additionally, I am passionate about enviornmental causes and sustainability practices and work to continually incoporate that further into my home and personal practices. Lastly, I have experienced how transformative nature can be in my own life. Yes, it sounds simple, and in many regards, it is. And I continue to find that nature is a powerful co-therapist, offering wisdom, grounding and healing.
