We do our best to create a supportive, safe, and comfortable environment to help you work toward healing, growing, and thriving! We are Ken and Danielle Dawson. We are Christians, parents to two sweet kids, and have been married over 15 years. We are both Licensed Professional Counselors, Registered Play Therapists and EMDR trained. Danielle has a Master’s of Science degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and Community Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy from John Brown University. Ken has a Master’s of Science degree in Community Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy, also from John Brown University. We both have been working in the mental health and human services field for over 16 years with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families in residential, day treatment, foster care, adoption, community mental health, schools, and private practice settings. We are both EMDR trained and utilize this modality for working toward healing trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief/loss. We are proponents of attachment and all of the evidence-based theoretical models that come from that perspective. Danielle’s personality is friendly, encouraging, person-centered and goals focused. Danielle specializes in working with individuals, families, couples, and children 10+. Danielle helps with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma/PTSD, Giftedness struggles, Grief/Loss, Life transitions, Foster Care and Adoption. Danielle is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for premarital and marital therapy. Danielle utilizes EMDR, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) (also known as Filial Therapy) to support parents, Personal-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, psychological education, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Ken has a friendly, laid back, person-centered and child-centered approach. Ken works with children ages 3 and up, teens, young adults, parents, and men. Ken helps with ADHD, adoption and foster, anger, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, developmental needs, transitions to adulthood, men’s issues and addiction. Ken utilizes EMDR, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Filial Therapy also called Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), parental support, and psychological education.
