In 2004 I enrolled in Naropa University's Transpersonal Counseling Psychology program with an emphasis in Wilderness Therapy. The foundation of mindfulness and relationship to self and nature has shaped my approach and guided my career. I strongly believe in therapy as the counter-culture experience, slowing down, noticing what is happening, allowing the nervous system to regulate, and creating the opportunity for change and choice. At this time in my career I am focused on women's health across the lifespan with a special interest in women as they embark on the challenging journey of becoming mothers. There is no better time to invest in yourself than when you are hoping to bring new life into the world. I am also committed to helping parents, especially those with teens and young adults who are struggling. This stems from my long career in family therapy in outpatient and residential settings.
