Introduction

I work with modalities that help us understand the ways that our experiences show up in our bodies, minds, and relationships. This supports you in developing the tools, awareness and conviction to lead your healing and therapeutic process. I also use a neuroscience based understanding of the somatic/physiological experiences of being human, and an attachment based understanding of childhood development and adult relationships. I come to this work with a framework of Ethnic Studies, Critical Race Theory, and Intersectional Feminism, which are foundational to how I listen and understand the therapeutic process. My style is relational in the sense that I don’t just listen and nod - I share what I’m thinking and how I’m understanding what you share with me. My approach is deeply informed by a framework of intersectional feminism, social justice, and critical race theory. This work has only deepened my commitment to and understanding of justice and liberation. I have worked in high schools, jails and prisons, sexual assault crisis centers, community agencies, and in private practice. It has been an honor to work with people from many backgrounds as they heal from the wounds they carry. We each start at different places and with different skills and needs in a healing process. My commitment is to meeting you where you are and developing this process with you. I work especially with Grief, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, and ADHD. Topics that often come up in therapy include (and are most certainly not limited to): feeling on edge, feeling shut down, figuring out how to find/be in/get out of relationships, sex, sexuality, gender, neurodivergence, formative childhood experiences, sadness, chronic pain, money, food, parents, parenting, climate disaster, pop culture, capitalism, intergenerational trauma, friendship, culture, and much more. For new clients, you can use the Request Appointment button to book a 15 minute free consult, or a full session (full fee is $200 per session, but we can use some of our time to figure out how to use your insurance if you so wish). For established clients, you can sign into the client portal in order to book or cancel your appointments online.
