Introduction

Kenyatta earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindenwood University and is under the supervision of Dr. Alexandria Boyer to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri. She is passionate about creating a safe space for all clients to receive validation, reassurance, and guidance. She provides support to individual clients, ages 10 and up, who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, self- harm, life transitions and life stressors. She also assists families and couples. She utilizes a combination of several therapeutic approaches, including, person centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. Kenyatta values the importance of building rapport with her clients and grasping an understanding of their relationship with themselves, their support system, and the world around them. She views therapy as a coping strategy that can be used anytime, even when a client is in a positive space. Kenyatta emphasizes creating a space where clients can express themselves unapologetically as they gain tools to assist them as they navigate life.
