Introduction

INTRODUCTION If you are stuck, feeling anxious or depressed, or struggling with relationships, parenting, or life transitions, therapy can help. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience working with diverse clients managing a variety of life stressors and concerns. I specialize in working with: * Goal-oriented professionals struggling with work-life balance and burnout * Adults working through stress related to their sexuality, gender, or racial stress * Those wanting to feel more capable and confident in their relationships, including with spouses, children, and parents I ensure the care you receive is both culturally responsive and evidence-based, and I am passionate about providing you with the support and tools you need not only to get unstuck, but to thrive. PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND I received my BS in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005 and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington in 2011. In my prior work, I served as a Clinical Psychologist at VA Puget Sound Health Care System and an Associate Professor at the University of Washington. In addition to seeing clients, I was responsible for a research program that focused on health disparities for culturally diverse populations and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I obtained research funding from the National Institutes of Health, the VA, and the Centers for Disease Control and published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on topics such as the impact of minority stress on mental health, the intersection of multiple identities, and resilience and coping. I integrate and bring my knowledge of the research literature to my clinical practice, to ensure that clients are benefiting from the most up-to-date information. My commitment to reducing health disparities for diverse populations and promoting inclusive, affirming, and culturally responsive care has driven my professional work. CLINICAL SERVICES I view therapy as a therapeutic and brave space to walk alongside clients as they make transformative changes in their lives. I have been trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavioral activation. I help clients learn cognitive behavioral skills while carefully considering each person’s unique lived experiences and background. I am an active and collaborative therapist, and in therapy you can expect that I will ask you compelling questions, collaborate with you to create achievable goals, and provide a warm, safe, and authentic space to arrive at new insights, build skills, and make change. FEES & LOGISTICS I offer telehealth appointments only and see clients who live in WA state. I offer an initial, free 15-minute telephone call to learn more about you, my services, and decide if working together would be a good fit. You can request an appointment directly below or email me at DrLehavot@gmail.com. My rate is $250 for a 50-minute psychotherapy session. I am not contracted with any insurance companies, which means you are responsible for payment at the time of service. Your insurance provider may reimburse you for a substantial portion of my fee as an out-of-network provider. If you are considering therapy, please don't hesitate to reach out. I would love to hear from you!
