A counseling journey is unique in comparison to other journeys. This type of journey may not offer views of mountains, beaches, and parks, and is not guaranteed to be light-hearted and entertaining at it's core. However, choosing to proceed on this journey will offer lifelong benefits, and an opportunity to go head to head (or 'hand to hand') with a common existential fear: CHANGE. I obtained my Master's of the Arts Degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia in 2016. I am also a Virginia Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, and offer Licensed Residents in Counseling in Virginia individual clinical supervision hours toward licensure. I have extensive experience working in a private practice setting, and with providing intensive in-home and mental health support services for individuals at risk for out of home placement. Other supervisory work experiences include managing community living programs, along with transitional housing programs at a non-profit agency. As a previous educator, I developed a love for writing, and if I am not dancing, I am using my mind and body (hands in particular) to create, help, and heal in other ways.
