Introduction

I'm Kim, the proud owner and founder of Cresting Wave Counseling. With over three decades as a licensed professional counselor, I've dedicated my career to helping individuals, couples and families navigate life's most challenging transitions. Since 1982, I've been happily married. I've had the privilege of raising six children, welcoming three children-in-law, and experiencing the joy of being a grandmother to thirteen amazing grandchildren. These personal experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective to support clients through various life changes, including the empty nest phase, blending families, managing parenting challenges, and navigating the complexities of multi-generational dynamics. I also specialize in working with individuals caught in the balancing act of caring for both aging parents and young children, a situation often referred to as the "sandwich generation."
