Introduction

Hi, I’m Kimberly, and I help “emerging" adults. Don’t you love that term? I do! What does it mean? Definition of emerge: intransitive verb 1 : to become manifest : become known 2 : to rise from : come forth into view 3 : to come into being through evolution; develop It means that you are in process. The truth is, all of life is “in process” but I imagine you are here because seriously, THIS time, this time is intense. Let’s face it, it can kind of suck! This time feels like MAJOR process time. I get it. I understand how challenging and downright terrifying it can be starting something new you've never done before, trying to change, trying to write a new story, trying to start over. I totally hear you when you say, “OK, can I just ‘EMERGE’ already? I am done sitting in all this uncertainty!” I’ve been in that place: the one where you question who you are and what you want and what you are doing and where you are going and how you are going to get there. I get it. I work with people in all types of life transitions across the lifespan: starting college and ending college, starting, changing or ending a career, embarking on parenthood or launching a kid, beginning a relationship or ending one, grief and loss of all kinds, loss of health, loss of a loved one, loss of how you thought things were supposed to be. I LOVE these transitions. They are fertile ground for optimism and strength and honing who you are! They are also prime moments that can cause anxiety, stress, depression and identity crisis! While it can feel super uncomfortable to be in a period of instability and uncertainty, it is also a time of possibility, and I am honored to walk alongside you in the journey to figuring out, because I believe you can, and you will, figure it out. You know how. Even if it’s hard. I am here to help you cultivate the courage and compassion you need to walk into and through change like a boss.
