Introduction

About Me: I’m Kimberly Reis, and you are now taking the first step to improving your life. I am a practicum student and counselor-in-training from Liberty University, earning my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and licensure in Idaho. As part of my graduate studies, I have completed coursework in family counseling, group counseling, trauma, grief, and lifespan development. I am also a Certified SYMBIS pre-marital inventory exam facilitator, familiar with the important questions to pose with couples who are considering the commitment of marriage. As a former classroom teacher, I have years of professional experience working with adolescents, young adults, parents, and individuals. I believe in a hope-filled future and that knowledge is power. I also formerly enrolled in a Certified Child Life Specialist program through UC Santa Barbara, volunteered over 300 hours at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and facilitated the Bridges Death, Grief, & Loss community support group during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, I also served as a nurse’s aide in a long-term care nursing facility. I align with HIPAA-compliant confidentiality requirements, conform to the ACA Code of Ethics, and render DSM-V diagnosis and treatment plans under supervision. Therapeutic Approach: Counseling is a place for you to remember what is important to you, to evaluate how your decisions align with what you value, and to inspire change. We will work together as partners to bring about better understanding that applies to your everyday life. Together, we are able to change from what is not working to what will work. The future is unwritten. Let’s get started.
