Introduction

My passion is to help you understand your heart, needs, and relational patterns, so you may know yourself more deeply. This allows you to live more fully and freely in relationship with yourself and others. While we are most harmed in relationships, we are also most healed by them. I want to offer safety and space to help you heal and rebuild your sense of self and deep inner knowing. You matter. Your story matters.
I view each client as unique and develop the best approach for your therapy. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, trauma informed, and integrative in nature, while being deeply influenced by attachment theory. My reflective, curious personality, and my ability to connect and empathize with others, brings a relational aspect to my work. Attachment and emotion are the foundation of my work. Primarily drawing from both Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), I find they offer a way to make the implicit - explicit, the explicit - experiential and the experiential - relational. In my experience, both as a client and as a therapist, these are the most powerful therapeutic approach to individual and couples therapy. Too often, people focus on the content of what is wrong ("Why can't he load the dishwasher correctly?" or "Why won't she stop nagging me?") rather than the process of what is actually happening ("I need to feel respected and heard" or "I need more connection"). Conflict resolution and communication skills are not enough to address the emotional processes happening underneath it all. Through research these approaches have been shown to offer a way to have corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate changes in the brain. _____________________________________________________ Services offered: • Individual and couples therapy: 50 or 75 minute sessions (virtual only currently) I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots • 1/2, 1, 2, or 3 Day Intensives: 3-6 hours of counseling per day, with breaks (virtual and in-person offered) Intensives are personalized for each client. They allow for an extended time for focused work, free of interruptions or distractions. This is especially helpful for busy schedules, clients who travel a lot, or those looking for a breakthrough. A 3 day intensive can often accomplish 4-6 months of weekly therapy. I currently offer intensives for individuals and couples looking to go deeper in the following areas: • Relationships • Pre-Marital/Commitment • Crisis • Pre-Baby • Trauma • Grief • Intimacy/Sex • Infidelity • Boundaries • Family of Origin Issues If you are interested in finding out if an intensive would be a good fit for you, I offer a free consult. Reach out for more detailed information. _____________________________________________________ I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, relationship expert, and lifelong connector of people. I bring over 15 years of therapy experience and extensive training. This work is not a job to me - people are my passion. When I am not working with clients, you will most likely find me with my husband and two daughters (when they are home from college) playing games or having lively conversations about everything imaginable and laughing way too loudly. I welcome and celebrate all people in all bodies. I am an LGBTQIA+ advocate and ally.
