Introduction

After spending more than 15 years as a nurse in a variety of specialties, I desired something more and found counseling to be complimentary role. I have private practice in the Gonzales area and work part-time at Cancer Services. When thinking of a name for my practice, I wanted a name that was part of a personal experience. From the second I saw the word cultivate, it stuck with me. When you cultivate something, you work to make something better. What would you like to cultivate in your life? My treatment approach encourages transparency, value-driven decision making, humor, self-compassion, and acceptance. I combine clinical insight and empathy to understand and work to understand the profound impact psychological distress and barriers can cause. Together we will work towards your goals. Whatever brings you to counseling (anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, relationship issues), I want to meet you where you are and offer a supportive and engaged presence for self-discovery and healing with no judgement.
