Kristen Nevins-Murphy, is a mental health counselor whose goal is to help her clients improve their quality of life and address mental health challenges that may be causing psychological distress. Kristen received both her bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in mental health counseling from Mercy College. She is also a certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor trainee (CASAC-T). Kristen is empathetic and non-judgmental, promoting an environment where clients can speak freely. She works with individuals of all ages specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Kristen offers individual as well as family and couples counseling. She implements a variety of approaches in treatment, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and play therapy, working collaboratively with her clients to establish objectives and goals.
