I specialize in working with teens and adults who are feeling overwhelmed by life/school/work/family/friends/the world asking too much of them and feeling a sense of being out-of-control while anxiously trying to keep it all together. I work with people who are saying 'yes' when they want to say 'no!' I work with people who feel like they're pretending their way through life just to get by and fear that they will never truly "arrive" and get to be happy. I work with people who are perfectionists and struggle with the idea that they might be worthy regardless of what they can offer, accomplish, or how they can perform. I earned my Masters' in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester in New York in 2014. I have worked as a therapist in NY, OR, and CO. (I am licensed in OR and CO.) Having been a therapist for over a decade, I have extensive experience with and abundant knowledge of anxiety, fawning, depression, codependency, grief, family dysfunction (conflict, enmeshment, estrangement, DV, abuse), trauma, perfectionism, BPD, CPTSD, eating disorders and body image concerns, ADHD, and general life challenges/transitions. I have worked both in community mental health and group practice, counseling children, teens, adults, couples, and families. I opened my private practice in October 2024. I am currently accepting teen (15yo and up) and adult clients for individual counseling and family counseling. My approach to therapy: My first priority is to build trust and rapport with my clients, fostering safety and connection, as I learn from them what their concerns and challenges are. I blend evidence-based practice with authenticity and a bit of humor while my client and I forge a path towards healing and whatever their identified therapy goals are. I invite you to reach out for an initial phone consultation (a 15 minute phone call for you and me to confirm that I am an excellent match for you, your teen, or your family).
