Introduction

My approach to counseling is much different than most, as it is direct, results-focused, and collaborative. I have high expectations for my clients, giving you the compassion and accountability you need for success, growth and change! It requires work and correspondence outside of sessions, guiding you to "immerse and rehearse," ultimately retraining your brain. I'm first and foremost a human, wife, mother, daughter, friend, bookworm, music lover, Jesus follower, have a blue-green temperament, and a 4w5 wing. My career began as a hospice social worker which was incredibly rewarding and radically changed my perspective on life. Later, I pivoted to private practice after my own life-changing experiences in therapy and am trained in several modalities including: Gottman Method, Relational Life Therapy, and Brainspotting. Recently I was selected as one of only sixteen therapists to be in the very first training cohort of the Relationship Theory Model (RTM) with Jourdan Blue. RTM is revolutionizing the way individuals and couples approach relationship-focused therapy and relationship coaching. I understand if you are skeptical about counseling or have tried it before and was unsuccessful.
