My therapeutic focus is relationships. We have many relationships: spouses, partners, family, work, the community, and ourselves. Relationships begin with ourselves; if we tend to treat ourselves badly, we will eventually will treat others badly and even let others treat us badly. I believe that YOU are doing the best you can with where you are in life. Keeping this in mind, we can get caught up in fear, guilt and shame, which can cloud the truth and keep us from living the life we desire. My goal is to help individuals, couples and families create awareness of current belief systems, social influences and experiences that contribute to suffering. Utilizing compassion, mindfulness and empathy, clients can develop an awareness of what contributes to suffering and learn to choose kindness and compassion to sustain a more meaningful and happy life. My areas of focus are anxiety, depression, trauma, and couples therapy. I have been working with active duty military community for over 20 years.
