Hi, I’m Kristine. I created Nurturing Roots Mental Health to provide supportive, attuned mental health care before, during, and after the family building years. I hold a calm, reflective space for when things are feeling hard. It’s my hope that you’ll remember that you are not alone. Family building is a unique season of life, and it’s my goal to help you explore the thoughts and complications that may arise or resurface as you embark on this new journey. Whether you’re trying to conceive, facing infertility or struggling with parenthood, therapy can be a place to breathe, feel, think and nurture the person you are right now. I hold a master’s degree in social work (MSW), and I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in the states of Minnesota and Washington. I’m also a certified perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, with a focus on common mental health issues from conception through postpartum. I’ve worked with birthing people and their families for more than 20 years. My experience in medical settings allows me to understand and support those with high-risk pregnancies and diagnoses of fetal anomalies, grief, loss, adjustment to parenting, NICU admissions and mental health issues from pre-conception through postpartum.
