Hello and welcome to Soul Serenity Therapy! My name is Kyla and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Registered Nurse. I enjoy working with adults 18 and older who are ready to learn the skills to regain balance in their lives. No matter what the past has been, what the present means, or what the future holds, we can talk through it together in a safe environment. I provide a relaxing and non judgmental experience during session. I love using humor but I truly feel honored to be the person beside you during your therapy journey (not above you). I use a variety of therapy modalities such as Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Supportive Therapy. I pride myself on being a therapist who listens with intent, supports but also challenges, and will honor your story with dignity and respect. I diagnose and treat a variety of mental health issues including Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder, Adjustment Disorders, Pregnancy and Post Partum Related Disorders, Relationship Issues, School/Work Issues, Life Changes, Stress, Family Dynamics, Burnout, Eating Issues, and Overall Personal Wellness. My education includes a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa, a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Iowa State University, and an Associates of Science degree in Nursing from Mercy College Of Health Sciences.
