Hi all! I am a clinician at Oakwood Counseling. I am in my last semester of my graduate program. I love working with all sorts of clients; however, I have a passion for working with teens and college students. Growing up I never understood mental health, I thought that being happy or upset was my choice. I never realized that sometimes our feelings can be out of our control. Through my own therapeutic journey I discovered the importance of understanding my feelings and learning coping skills to address them when they feel overwhelming. I work to provide a safe space for all of my clients to be themselves. I want them to feel as if our therapeutic relationship is a partnership and we are exploring it together. I use an integrated therapeutic approach that is tailored to my client’s needs. We can learn to grow and adapt together.
