Hi! I'm Dr. Lari Jackson, a Licensed Psychologist in NC and Certified Health Services Provider- Psychologist who has been practicing for twenty years. Prior to private practice I served for many years as Clinical Director of the Counseling Center at NC State University. Areas of Expertise: I have extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, loss, relationship concerns, self-criticism/self-esteem, and trauma. I enjoy supporting people through transitions and unexpected change and helping people determine how to live in alignment with their values and goals. Client Populations: Most of my clinical work has been with young adults and adults managing anxiety and depression. Proficiency with college students, graduate students, and international students. Additionally I enjoy working with veterans and people who have loved ones in the military, people who identify as LGBTQ+, persons from other nations, and providing support to working parents and single parents. I also provide short-term ADHD coaching for college students. I have had the honor to work with people of varying cultures, ethnicities, backgrounds, and experiences, and do my best to provide a safe space for all. How I work with clients: Each of us is a unique individual. I tailor treatment using evidence-based practices according to the needs of my clients, the concerns for which they are seeking support, and their goals, personalities, and preferences. I work from both brief, goal-directed treatment (i.e., CBT, MBSR) that focuses on coping techniques, to more traditional talk-therapy, and combinations of these based on the individual client's needs. Either way, I strive to provide an honest and supportive platform for change.
