Introduction

A Little About Me I think it's only fair that I share a little about myself as you consider trusting me as your compassionate listener, therapist and coach. I have over 17 years of experience helping folks gain an understanding of their life experiences and guiding them to a more rewarding life trajectory. I'm skilled at providing direct one-on-one therapy, case management, group therapy and coaching. In the year of 2006, I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Family Relationships/Human Development. Later on, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work in which I obtained my MSW in 2017. Therapeutic Approach Life can be overwhelming, and I am here to help you normalize your emotions and thoughts without shame as you figure life out. I believe everyone has the ability to successfully cope with life transitions and traumas; and therapy with me allows a non-judgmental space to talk through your feelings, thought patterns and repeated cycles while making strides to peace. Do you feel that you lack the skills and support to recover? I have solutions! Let's connect and dig deep. Trauma Does your nervous system always feel like it is in a constant state of alert? Do you feel unsafe while out an about? Because of my passion for helping folks release trauma from their bodies, I prefer to work with people who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences. While treating trauma symptoms, I make sure to take into consideration how these experiences have impacted your life trajectory, interpersonal and intrapersonal communication. Let's work together by incorporating psychotherapy, somatic modalities and other healing practices to better regulate your emotions. Attachment Issues Are you having difficulty trusting people or feeling secure in your relationships? Or do you wonder why you struggle with building and maintaining healthy relationships? Struggling with low self-esteem or feeling not enough? I will use an attachment base approach to help you explore your feelings, communication style, behaviors, and interpersonal exchanges with other folks. We will explore early life experiences, life stressors and traumatic events currently interrupting your capacity to form and maintain meaningful relationships as an adult. Are you ready to feel comfortable communicating your relationships needs and feel secure enough to build trust in others? I have solutions. Anxiety Are you assuming that the worst will happen? Putting too much importance on minor things? Is this stopping you from doing things that you enjoy? Or maybe you frequently worry or react to life stressors in an anxious manner. Sounds like you may need help replacing your negative thoughts and worries with ones that are more realistic and conducive to your overall personal wellness. Grief and Loss It can hurt to believe that nothing last forever. That relationship, that child, that parent, that spouse, that job, that so forth. Living without what brought us comfort, fulfillment and love is hard. Talking with a trusted friend or family member is helpful however in some cases you may feel like it is burdensome to talk to kinfolks. Consider meeting with me to help your during your stages of grief. This can prepare you to explore the sweet and sour memories. Walk and Talk Therapy Let’s Walk side by side!
