In 2006 I began my work as therapist and firmly believe that every person has the ability to learn, grow, and heal. Some of us can use support or someone to listen to help us feel our best and understand ourselves more. I believe that every experience builds upon the last. We have many different experiences, some positive, some negative, and some we don't remember being significant. These experiences shape how we understand ourselves, others, and our world. In my practice I encourage you to recognize your existing skills and strengths and develop some new ones to help you cope with and survive negative events from your past and in the future. I believe therapy isn't about how to avoid negative feelings and be happy all the time, instead therapy helps us honor our feelings, cope, AND keep moving forward.
