Lauren Mason, LSW, CADC, received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University and has her Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Certificate (CADC). Lauren has spent most of her professional career working with individuals struggling with severe substance use disorders and complex co-occurring disorders. Lauren understands how entering a therapeutic setting can be an incredibly vulnerable decision and she strives to create a space where clients can authentically be themselves. Her therapeutic focus will always include affirmative and celebratory expressions of all identities. Utilizing CBT, DBT, and person-centered/strengths-based approaches, Lauren is dedicated to finding alternative ways to help individuals find solutions that work for them. Lauren has experience with helping individuals who are experiencing homelessness, gender identity exploration, racial identity issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression.
