As a therapist I am here to hold hope for you when you are unable to hold hope for yourself. It may often feel like you've tried everything but nothing works, at least not long term. You find yourself worrying and often struggle with things that feel outside of your control. I believe one of the bravest things you can do for yourself or your teen is prioritize mental health. There is no shame in needing additional support. Together we will work toward your goals and begin your healing. I have been providing strength-based mental health treatment to teens, young adults, and families since 2013. With my experience providing intensive, in-home and community based behavioral interventions, I have developed a hands-on approach to individual and family therapy. During our sessions we are processing emotions, identifying core beliefs, and working through action steps. These action steps are typically completed during session with the goal of increased client functioning over multiple domains. I support my clients to have the ability to independently manage their mental health symptoms, this include knowing how to communicate when they need additional support from trusted individuals. When incorporating parents/caregivers into treatment I am thoughtful of how this will impact the client and home environment. I strive to create a safe environment for each family member to feel understood and have a voice while working through obstacles.
