Introduction

Building your family and your identity can be a beautiful, complicated journey—full of hope, questions, and sometimes frustration. Whether you’re navigating life as a queer adult, exploring your identity, or facing infertility, therapy can be a place to feel seen, supported, and grounded. You don’t have to do it alone. I’m Lauren, a queer, overachieving wife and mom who gets what it’s like to carry the weight of ambition, caregiving, and just existing in a world that doesn’t always make space for you. I help people break free from overwhelm, trauma, and life transitions, so they can finally create the life they’ve been dreaming of. That’s why I built Story of Things Therapy & Consulting, a space for people like us. The leaders, the caregivers, the LGBTQIA+ folks, the ones navigating fertility, big life changes, or the pressure to have it all figured out. Also for late bloomers, poly folks, sex + individuals, and anyone wondering, "Will a therapist really understand me? Spoiler: I do. I’m body-positive, anti-racist, and here for every identity, no exceptions. My approach is no-nonsense, client-centered, and solution-focused. Real talk. Real strategies. Own your life, no BS. Let's be real: if you’re done with the distractions, ready to put in the work, and open to real change, it's time to make it happen! Contact me today to get started!
